Luis Enrique Belmonte

Poet, narrator, musician and medical doctor graduated from Universidad Central de Venezuela (1996) with a specialization in Psychiatry from Universidad de Los Andes (2004). He studied Bioethics and the History of Science in Barcelona, Spain. Poesía reunida 1994-2006” (Passage. Gathered Poetry1994-2006) (Monte Ávila, Caracas, 2009) and “Compañero paciente” (Patient Companion) (Lugar Común, Caracas, 2012). He has won the following awards: Premio Fernando Paz Castillo (1996), Premio Adonais (1998) and Premio of the VI bienal Mariano Picón Salas (2005). His poetry has been translated to English, Hangul, German, Portuguese and Arabic.
